MESSY GAME NIGHT 2023 Postponed

We have made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Messy Game Night. This event requires months of planning and coordination to execute with excellence and safety. During those critical months when all the preparation would normally be completed, there was a possibility that construction would interfere with the safety of our participants onsite, and we were still unsure when our new Youth Pastor would be on staff.  Although we now know who will be leading our Youth Ministry, and that construction will almost certainly begin after Messy Games Night would occur, it would simply not be possible to properly bring this special event together. However, the good news is we have more than enough time to make next year’s Messy Games the best event it can possibly be.

What Is MESSY GAME NIGHT?

Messy Game Night is a FREE event of intense messy competition and fun sponsored by multiple churches in our area! It’s for students 6th -12th grade. Middle school students compete against middle school students and high school students compete against high school students, with a winning team in each division.
Prepare to get DIRTY and MESSY. The games are followed by a short message from a respected leader in our community. After the message and prayer,  FIRE TRUCKS from Northport and Carrolls Creek fire departments come to hose everyone down!

MESSY GAME NIGHT 2022 is AUGUST 17th
at Christ Harbor Church

Parking and Drop-off at TCHS Wildcat Dr.

Registration starts at 6:10 p.m., Gates open at 6:30p.m.

The event ends at 8:30 p.m.

Phones & Stuff : IT’S BEST TO KEEP STUDENT’S STUFF IN THE CAR, but we do have a “Stuff” drop off center for small items such as phones, keys, etc., that will be kept safe and available for students to retrieve after the event.

Rough Weather - The games will proceed in rain but if lighting becomes a factor, students will be taken into the church building.  For everyone’s safety students will not be released individually nor will parents be allowed in the building to retrieve students. Students will be released to find you in your car when weather is stable.

STUDENT MINISTERS

Thank you for your interest in Messy Game Night! If you are interested in joining us this year, here are a
few ways to get involved:

BRING YOUR YOUTH

If you simply want to bring your students and enjoy the fun, messiness and evangelism, then we ae excited to have you! Messy Game Night is an annual event sponsored by area churches. Its focus is to provide an event that attracts students 6th – 12th grades with the express purpose to share the love of Christ through fun, fellowship and message.

The event is truly messy. Your student will leave either caked in mud, food gunk or drenching wet from the
fire truck hoses at the end. So, if you bring students in a church vehicle, you need to be prepared for the trip
home.

We work diligently to honor the time frame set aside for the event in order to provide you with an accurate
time to announce to your parents. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:30 p.m.

BRING ADULT AND/OR COLLEGE VOLUNTEERS

Extra help is greatly appreciated. It does take a great number of adults to help make Messy Game Night run
smoothly and safely. Extra adults are great in helping fill roles such as Security, Registration, Game Leaders
and Team Leaders. College students make great Team Leaders, however, they too can participate in any of
the volunteer roles. Best case scenarios: we need 48 Team Leaders, plus all the other areas of need. If you
would like to bring some extra volunteer help, just let us know so we can have an idea of how many people we have in each area.

SPONSOR A GAME

At Messy Game Night, we have a Middle School track and a High School track. Each track has 6 game stations
that house two teams each round in head-to- head competition for a total of 12 game stations.

To sponsor a game means you prepare a game, meeting the parameters of two large groups competing head-to-head in a 5 minute window with a definite winner, or we help you to come up with a game that has worked well in the past. You then gather the supplies needed to run the game and the adult volunteers needed to run it. It’s that simple. Of course you can still bring your students to join the fun.

We have been very blessed over the years with this event as have many students. We would love for you to join us at any level of participation. If you have any questions, please contact us.
